I did think of that, but it is really not convenient to do in my setup
and I did not want to do the file transfer over wireless and I am not
in a hurry. Here is how I am doing it. First, I Transfer the files
from the jump drive to the Windows laptop. Second, use the Batch
converter to convert from WMA to FLAC, targeting the same folder. This
preserves the entire directory structure, including art. If you target a
different folder for the conversion, all of the files will be converted
but you will lose the directory structure. The downside is that it
leaves you with two copies of each song, one WMA and one FLAC. Last
step is to navigate to the target directory and do a search for .WMA,
highlight all the identified files and hit delete. This leaves you
with one copy of each file in FLAC and an intact directory structure
for the library. I already have half 3/4 of the collection trans-coded
and cleaned up. Once done, will move back to the Ubuntu box and I am
done.

thanks,

Mike
