Hi,

As noted in the very beta release notes for these packages
(http://projects.tryphon.eu/blog/2011/10/18/rivendell-2-beta-debian-ubuntu-packages/),
Oneiric support is still very early. You'll have much more luck with
Ubuntu 11.04, which is a bit more matured and well-supported by third
party programs. I've got no issues with 11.04 (not tried Studio, just
standard Ubuntu), currently a .deb-installed 11.04 is running the backup
playout system at my local station and took about 20 minutes to get the
OS and .debs installed.

Alternatively, see if you can find libhpi.so.9 anywhere (sudo updatedb
&& locate libhpi.so.9) - if it's in /usr/local/lib or something, just
hop into /usr/lib and sudo ln -s /usr/local/lib/libhpi.so.9, or adjust
your paths, whichever works. That's a quick hack but might get you
going. You might also be able to do the same with a libhpi from-source
build if you can get it built for Oneiric.

Hope that helps!

(Though the ASI cards are getting cheaper - I've just specified two £400
cards for a STL I'm putting together...)

Cheers,
James Harrison

an error saying that libhpi.so.9 is not found. I searched on my computer
and could not find libhpi.so.9. However, I did find libhpi.so.0 as well
as libhpi.so (without any trailing numbers).

prices. Please do not say anything about AudioScience cards in your
reply since I do not have one.
