Because that version (2.1.0) of "Rivendell" (as released by the project of that 
name) isn't a 'beta' version.  It works quite well on a number of different 
distros.

Well Patrick, you have a couple of options here.  You can run Rivendell on a 
distro where the integration and testing work has been done for you already 
(such as Ubuntu 11.04 or CentOS 5), or you can try going 'bleeding edge' on a 
distro that's never been tried before, in which case you'll be doing that 
integration work yourself.  That's the nature of FOSS.  In either case, cocking 
an attitude towards those who are trying to help you here (and who are, I might 
add, doing so entirely voluntarily) is probably not a real smart strategy.
