Ugh.  I wasn't aware of that.  I suppose it's inevitable, given that 
MIDI pitch bend is a channel message.

Rosegarden splits these into one track per channel.  You can only send 
to a single channel from a Rosegarden track, and that's for the very 
simple reason that all of the properties associated with the MIDI 
channel appear at track level (or more accurately at instrument level, 
but the track has only a single instrument) in Rosegarden.

Note that this is also consistent with the way plugin instruments 
work -- everything on a track goes to the same plugin.

I have to say that I think this is a good feature of Rosegarden; it's 
certainly very much core to the GUI of the program.  And I don't think 
I would see much benefit in changing it (doing so would probably be 
fairly easy from a data-storage point of view but very hard from a GUI 
point of view) for the sake of being able to play directly a particular 
guitar idiom, especially given all the other existing notational idioms 
that we can't play directly either.
