Maybe, maybe not. I think I'd just want a little button to click somewhere unobtrusive to switch modes, regardless of the default startup behavior for one type of matrix or the other. All of this discussion is very highly theoretical and impossible to play with while we have nothing remotely like a working bank editor. I've only seen the percussion matrix working once, and can't figure out how I did it. I can't even load the device for my damn Sound Canvas right now. I wonder if Immanuel is really going to fix this. He said it would take "about a month" and I haven't heard a word since. -- D.
