In Finnish we have proverb "to climb backwards to the tree", which you try
to do,
if it difficult to climb forwards. That is some kind of Finnish mentality
of doing
things.
I have a lot to learn of your discussive way of working. What we do is
discuss
about the policy. I am not very experienced on doing politics, but I have
learnt
that it is an important part of the process.
So then, to make the switch successfully, we need to:

What about your branch?

Did
$ svn checkout https://${
[email protected]/svnroot/rosegarden/websiterosegarden.website
$ cd rosegarden.website
$ grep -R "rosegarden/trunk/rosegarden" . | grep -v
"[.]svn"./wiki/data/pages/dev/contributing.txt:<code bash>svn co
https://svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/rosegarden/trunk/rosegarden</code>
./resources/documents/i18n.shtml: <A HREF="
http://svn.sourceforge.net/viewvc/rosegarden/trunk/rosegarden/po/">
http://svn.sourceforge.net/viewvc/rosegarden/trunk/rosegarden/po/</A>.
so it is in two places.

In source code the path is a single file:
$ grep -R "rosegarden/trunk/rosegarden" . | grep -v "[.]svn"
./scripts/make-release-tarball:svn co
https://svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/rosegarden/trunk/rosegarden "$rgname"
./scripts/make-release-tarball:
https://svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/rosegarden/trunk/rosegarden \

Checking the manual:
http://svnbook.red-bean.com/en/1.1/ch04s05.html
Should be
$ svn info | grep URL
URL: https://hjunes@
rosegarden.svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/rosegarden/trunk/rosegarden
$ svn switch https://hjunes@
rosegarden.svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/rosegarden/trunk
(this works ... currently it deletes all files, deletes all files, adds
rosegarden directory and .gitinogre file).
$ svn info | grep URL
URL: https://[email protected]/svnroot/rosegarden/trunk
The above command failed first because
(i) there was executable called 'rosegarden'
(ii) the svn switch command tried to created a directory named 'rosegarden'.
Only one part is missing. How to in the svn directory structure analogously
the following
$ mv rosegarden/* ./
$ rmdir rosegarden
?
