That would be prudent. Waiting for Michael to say his peace as well would be
very courteous as well.
I don't understand the hurry to this. Is there a deadline you are trying to
meet? Or are you just fired-up (ready to go) and want to start using git?
So unless there is some urgent reason to commit right away. You should let the
other an opportunity (via time to check their email), read the discussion and
have a chance to contribute.
Again, I'm not invested in this. SO, please let those that are a chance to
speak before you act on this.
