I was just trying to produce a one bar test example with a single 
triplet quarter note like Daren described.  That is impossible.  There's 
always an unwanted rest, and the results always come out mangled.

That's probably one of those weird "only happens in the very last 
measure" things.  We've had a few others.

Oh well, I guess my research was useless, and that's what I get for 
trying to knock out some useful work in under 15 minutes.
