I have a layout.

No.  All have underbody detail, but most don't have all the small piping and 
clevices.

Yes.

No.  But I go by my own definition of "finished."  One has to know when to stop 
(like stopping short of modeling functioning brakes, or powering with steam 
instead of electricity).

> (5) Do you have any un-scale models running on your layout?

No.

> (6) Are you serious when you say that a SHS or AM model is off from the 
> prototype 1/10 of a foot, or that the slope is off a fraction, or that the 
> markings are wrong, or it has the wrong headlights for the model SHS-AM and 
> others are re-creating?

Depends.  I am unhappy when a car is several scale feet too short.  If 
something is a tenth of a real foot off, I care.  If it's off by a tenth of a 
scale foot, I don't care.
