the locomotives.  You'd have a harbour scene and no need to complicate 
things with interchange with other RRs.  And with nearly everybody else in 
narrow gauge doing old time Colorado, it might be unique in S.

En revanche, some people like to model "what if" scenarios.  There is today 
no land connection between the Alaska RR and the rest of this continent's 
RRs, only by barge.  But I believe I read somewhere that if the Alaska RR 
ever were to be connected, it would make sense to use, in part, the route of 
the WP&Y RR, regauging it to standard gauge.  You could model that 
hypothetical route in the future. And then you'd have some interchange with 
other RRs.
