Not at all, most folks build something similiar either by choice
or from lack of information about a specific prototype.
If you plan to keep this layout for a long time you can always update
the scenery and details as your experience grows and your tastes
change. The only thing you might want to avoid is unrealisticly steep
or odd shaped mountains, excessive trestles or bridges and overly
large or numerous retaining walls as these things are hard to fix
wihout tearing out the scenery base. Buildings, trees, and other
surface details are no problem to change....dave
