Although not likely to happen, it would be nice to find out how many of
these kits are actually built and implanted on a layout in any scale. I
can honestly say that all of my BTS structure kits are on the layout
finished except for one 'mostly done'--the big mine. I'm working on a
couple of Pine Canyon's false front buildings then on to a Barr Mills
tavern.

I also find it interesting as to the variety of structures we have and
the 'flavor' in the kits. For instance the old Fineskinds (now Turner)
kits are mostly western narrow gauge, BTS seems to favor a Southern
twist, Banta is sort of split between a Western and Eastern rural, and
Barr Mills sort of Eastern urban. The old Leigh Valley kits were pretty
generic with some obvious Eastern exceptions. Pine Canyon seems split
between the urban warehouse scenes and the open road. Of course, I'm
missing a few of the newer entries but I think we are fortunate in
having a good selection of kits. If we get any more I will have to
build a new layout addition!
