Respectfully, I disagree with you. I have simply presented facts based on
first-hand knowledge and experience. My experience has shown that while the HO
gladhands (trip pins) will function to the extent that the couplers uncouple,
they do not provide lateral movement sufficient for reliable operation of
Kadee's "delayed action" feature. I know that some guys use electromagnets and
beefed-up permanent magnets to overcome this deficiency, but that's a lot of
unnecessary work and/or $$.
