Jim,  The fellow who had the double spring idea was a former member by 
the name of John Siller.  I guess you could say John was a spring man!  
He would search the world over for those things.  Another idea he had 
was to use American Models truck springs for replacements in a Overland 
FA.  There is an old Kalmbach video on old dinosaur diesels where there 
is one view of an engine negotiating some rough trackage so the engine 
bounced along a bit.  Well John's engine with those AM springs did the 
same thing--very nice little effect.  I think Billy Click might own that 
engine now.
