BRIAN:
Lots of good ideas, but I agree about the slide glass. Too much potential
for injury. If I were doing this "glass breaking" I think I'd use some .001
clear styrene and cut it up into shards. Only problem here is at the curf where
you would make the cuts. As you know, clear styrene tends to leave a white
"trail" along the edge where it's cut. So, some sanding might be necessary, and
that would be a challenge on .001 styrene. You might be able to mitigate the
"trail" by starting off with a new single-edged razor blade and then change
blades as soon as you notice any "trail" along the curf where you've cut.

Subject: {S-Scale List} Modeling *broken* glass...

Hi everyone,

So, any ideas out there on how to model broken glass? Not a little
bit, either, I'm talking a whole gondola-load full of it! I'm working
on a Glass Block manufactury, and I figure that's a great way to
recycle broken glass - melt it down, add some new glass to the mix,
and cast new blocks! Only problem is, how to model a gondola full of
broken glass? Ideas?
