I last saw John at the live steam park during the Baltimore convention. Thelma was using a walker at the time. John's couplers and passenger trucks are all over my layout. But most of all he was noted for attending all the national NMRA conventions for many years plus winning several contests for his steam engines. When the national was held in Houston during a hurricane he waded through the water to visit my layout that was still growing track and scenery.
At the Denver NASG convention I sat my young daughter down to sell few of my excess freight cars. John came over to me saying he had just bought some well made freight cars from a little girl! I guess he liked the construction. Bob Werre BobWphoto.com Robert Frascella wrote: >Yes, I remember those trucks well. Some sold on Ebay recently and they >appear there from time to time.
