Hi Tom; AM's web site lists their streamlined K4 pacific on sale (DC scale version) for $179.95. Ebay lists lots of K5 boilers, only one C&NW pacific, mostly for under $20. That would suggest you could get a scale pacific for under $250.00, plus some work.
Searching for "shell" under American Flyer on ebay brought up about 100 entries, many steam loco boilers (including the Northern, and Hudson but mostly the Atlantic and K5). Pieter E.
