The AccuCraft line and its related subgroups offers some quite exquisite 
locomotives and rolling stock even less expensively (although
still not peanuts).  I saw their Fn3 K-27 at the narrow gage convention and it 
took my breath away; the figure $2500 sticks in my mind.
