Hi Ed;

I was not the only one who took your "there should be a list..." comment as 
suggesting your felt the topic mis-placed on the S scale list.

Personally, I'd rather see someone figure out a way to run a favorite Flyer 
steamer on scale track, and otherwise be a scaler, than to go hi-rail just for 
a locomotive or two. 

I think the Hudson, K5 and 0-8-0 are viable conversion, the returns diminish 
from there but YMMV. It is worth noting that most of the AF steamer locomotives 
have obvious prototypes, easily determined just by looking at the model. I'm 
not sure any actual prototype for the AM pacific has been identified.
