I have heard via the infamous S grapevine that the brass ALCO FA gearboxes
suffer from the same condition as the brass RS-3 -- namely expanding
contaminated zamac and axle/gear binding. I was wondering if this rumor is
true and if anyone has experienced this problem? And, if so, is there an easy
fix? Thx....Ed L.
