Might be a shock to some but... The NASG track and wheel standards, adopted in 
1981, were converted to metric in 1983.  Don Thompson and I sent them to each 
new manufacturer entering S scale.  I still have the original Code 110 wheel 
drawing done in Korea with all the metric radius dimensions.

I'll betcha D.T. still has the SHS hirail wheel contour drawing in metric too.  
In another shocking development; 10's of thousands of S scale cars, locomotives 
and turnouts have been manufactured in Asia and Europe in the last 25+ years 
using those metric dimensions... <G>

I guess old news is now new news...
