I am using track and switches from www.classictrains.com and the switches are
just fine.

Subject: {S-Scale List} Beginner question

Hi, I'm Mike, and I'm a train addict. HO in my teens, N scale in adulthood, but
my eyesight isn't what it used to be, and I'm seriously thinking about "going
upscale." S scale intrigues me because it's off the beaten path, and the size
seems just about right. I can handle an airbrush, and I've scratchbuilt a
structure or two, so I can live without gazillions of commercial products.

But I have one big concern. My friendly local hobby-shop owner feels that the
available S-scale turnouts are unreliable. (He used a stronger word, but you
get the idea.) Has anyone else had a bad experience with turnouts?
