   No matter what code rail used the switches  are longer, wider and the parts 
are spaced out more making it easier to work with. Ties are bigger,spikes more 
proportional to reality, etc. S scale is the sweet spot when it comes to 
handling combined with layout space required.
  I'd definitely recommend tomalco or shinohara flextrack with just the 
switches handlayed to fit the situation, no jig required or wanted.If you want 
to get fancy you can even add tie plates, rail braces,spikes per tie ,etc. to 
match the flextrack appearance.Once one has built a few switches it's easier to 
build one to fit your needs than it is to modify a purchased one to gauge or to 
cure their faults.This is one place where the time spent learning to do it from 
scratch is a much better investment than buying commercial products...dave
