Actually, Mike, what you saw were regauged Atlas #6 switches. SHABBONA RR uses 
a lot of those. Since Atlas can be as "S"notty as some hobby shop owners when 
you suggest an S scale version of the Atlas Customline #6, you can make your 
own simple and economically.

Also, since Atlas now offers a #8 Customline switch in Code 100, you now have 
that as a choice in either Code 100 or Code 83.

S is THE scale for independent thinking modelers who want more than the "H"ow 
"O"rdinary hobby shop offerings, which are not near as great as in years past.

Another tip: you can find HO code 100 flex track at bargain basement prices, 
much more economical than a bundle of rail. You can either split the ties down 
the middle to regauge it for S, or you can remove and set aside (never throw 
away) the HO tie strip if you want to lay your own track.

S is perfect for the guy who wants to take "it can't be done" and do it anyway.
