To answer everyone's question, I definitely would go scale, not hi-rail. To 
answer Tom's question, I have a soft spot for the railroading I grew up with, 
and that's the BN in the early 70's, with fallen-flag schemes still common. I 
like secondary-main operations, heavy on freight traffic, especially grain cars 
and grain elevators.

That Tomalco code-100 track looks good. I may try hand-laying at some point, 
but trackwork isn't the part of the hobby I like spending extra time and effort 
on.
