Andre,
I started out yesterday with the deck on 1 section at 56". I thought that was too high even though I am 6'-2". So I cut 4 more legs to make the height 53" and instantly liked it. I bought some drafting stools a few months back to help decide the height sitting. I am probably going to "bolt" the shock absorber so it does not sink when I sit in it. I want all the chair height I can get. With a 53" deck height and approximately 22" high backdrops that absolutely will block all view across my basement. I will have to trim the backdrop a bit in some spots for air ducting etc. But 95% of the backdrops will be 22" high. I plan on using Masonite ripped right up the middle. A few months back when grinding on what the deck high should be I asked 1 of my friends to come over. You could say Steve is **vertically challenged**. I grabbed a tape measure to see what his eye level is. My layout will truly be close to eye level for him!
