Jonathan, taking nothing away from Sunset, because they produce great models at
a certain price point. But,they aren't as well detailed and finely built as a
Boo Rim model.....who builds all the River Raisin Models locos. Boo Rim has
become one of the premier builder of brass locos in both "S" and "O" scale in
recent years, producing River Raisin models in "S" and Glacier Park models in
O. I don't follow the HO market any longer but expect they build for some
importer in HO as well.
Normally, I'm all for competition, but as someone has already pointed out on
this thread, we're a small enough market, in very rough financial times. RRM
has consistently put out great models for S scalers when all the other
importers weren't interested. I think we ought to dance with the one who
brought us if there are no other issues. Dilute the market too much and you'll
have no brass importers in S scale at all.
