Much ado about nothing. Till it actually is out and on the track why lambaste
it on unsubstantiated rumors and ideas. The pre-production units look pretty
darn good IMHO. I am a scale person and have two on order. Ron at Des Plaines
Hobbies would have a good idea about the popularity since he's pre-ordered
them. Remember when there was a brass U33C in the offering? Not enough
interest then. Maybe now one could garner the interest to bring it out. Scale
people would be happy, well till the price is mentioned but it should be in the
same neighborhood as Lionel's without the TMCC bits in it. Also, take a look
at the AM U25B pilot. Darn big hole in it for the AF coupler and that's a 4
axle unit. I simply cut styrene sheet to fill it. Some paint and weathering
and it will look fine. By the way, the U25B is a very nice running unit from
my experience with it.
