Yes, Dave, you sure are correct.

Even some of the hi-rail guys were very disappointed in the Big Boy. Carl T
can bring it closer up to speed, but for a fee, and that seems to me to
indicate there is disconnect between Lionel and the S market. IMHO, one
shouldn¹t have to pay top dollar for an engine and then turn around and have
to pay a surcharge to fix what should have been done in the first place.

you want scale parts for them you may just have to make them yourself. The High
Rail engines and cars will sell. Lionel does not have the tooling that you want
them to have. Send them some money and see what happens.

If it's their test market loco they need a new product development team
cause they have no idea how to please a market. If I gotta make it scale
myself then it should cost about half as much shouldn't it?
Whether the high rail cars sell or not has no connection to S scale or to
what we do here.Lionel 3 rail also sells well and we don't care.Lego's sells
well and don't care. Iphones sell well, Lots of things that are not S scale
sell well so what's the point?
As long as we have guys like SHS, AM, and DHP trying to do it right why
should we take money from them and give it to Lionel for arrogantly doing it
wrong? .....DaveBranum
