Certainly easy to fix!

Rich,  I think we're talking about Lionels philosophy on building model trains 
rather than the specific U-33. 

A swinging pilot on an "S" gauge/scale locomotive in 2011 is a joke and a step 
backwards.  AM doesn't require it....SHS doesn't require it....MTH in O scale 
offers fixed pilots for 3R buyers. The 3R O gauge crowd is demanding more scale 
like locomotives and cars and MTH is answering the call while Lionel continues 
to put out 50's style rolling stock and locomotive. 

I don't know if their engineering department is too stupid to see the light or 
they choose to ignore it...but I think it is the latter and that really &^%$*# 
me off.  I have ZERO respect for Lionel.
