Hi all:
I would expect that on scale layouts with radii greater that 42", one
doesn't need a swinging pilot. On a highrail (or possibly Af) layout,
with radii down to 19" or so, one might need it - especially since the
engine is fairly long. In any event, as they say, S Scale is the fix it
yourself hobby, so let's get on with it:-) . On the other hand, it can
be irritating when one looks forward to getting something one desires,
only then to find out it isn't quite 'perfect' by having some 'glaring'
negative. Hopefully these problems will be minimized in the future (and
philosophies changed??), but until then we have at least some increased
selection on motive power and rolling stock. One always has the option
not to buy if the particular piece offends one's sensibilities too much.
regards to all
