The wheel profile is also quite different which requires that  
different check gauge.  And yes the Proto movement is museum  
attitude.  Proto64 can interchange with each other but the required  
fidelity in track work is more than most of us can do.  BTW: The  
British "S" standards are already tighter than P64.
