Some of us could even wonder where this group is today as well, since it
doesn't seem to show up very well in Yahoo Group searches using "SSPM" or
"S-Scale Prototype Modelers", it only seems to show up if you already know the
URL. Once you actually find the site's home page, there's only one short line
of text describing the group and no HomePage photo, which seems rather
unimaginative, and could also explain the search difficulties as well. For a
group that has been around for 11 years, yet only has 26 members, I'd say that
it's pretty exclusive. It's still not clear to me exactly what this group
focuses on, modeling a specific prototype (including all rivets, scratches and
rust spots) as exactly as possible from plans & photos, or using exact scale
measurements of the prototype (including tracks & wheels), or both.

There is another group <http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Proto64> which has been
around only a couple years longer and has over 150 members. They're also a good
bit faster to respond to membership requests. Seems like they might be a more
useful group to join.
