Any group that claims to be public, lets people request membership, and leaves them hanging for months without a word of explanation, is run very poorly indeed. A member who knows this type of thing is going on and defends it should be ashamed of himself. There's nothing to be proud of. If they are so exclusive, it should be by invitation, not public.
