Maybe in your neck of the woods. Me and Bob are in Texas. No basements but alot of storm cellars similar to the Cabin Creek one.

Construction requirements and geology vary across the nation. However, if you do look around, you can just about find any example anywhere.

For instance, we get a lot of folks complaining that our Cabin Creek Church is not designed to be used 'up north' since it has an open foundation. They believed that since we lived in Florida when we released the kit that it must be based upon FL construction. In reality, the prototype is still sitting here in West Virginia... about 60 miles NORTH of us.

And I can take you to houses in FL that have full basements.

Most folks have a perception of what is and isn't and way too often that perception is one with blinders.


Come to Texas sometime and look around.
