Hi Peter --

I will be using Evergreen styrene strip CA glued to the rails as simulated
joint bars. No bolt heads, but I have to draw the line somewhere... Anyhow,
there are enough different strip sizes that you should be able to find one that
works for you. FYI, I soldered flat wire stock as joint bars on the old
railroad, and found it more trouble than it was worth.

Have fun!

P.S. Nice job on the NASG website article in the latest “Dispatch”!

Hi Roger,

Very useful info.

I noticed in the photo that you have some joint bars on the turnout. Do you
have any of those on the inside of the rail? I use code 83 rail and I have
bought matching joint bars, but they are way too big and get hit by the flange
of the equipment. I've thought of using code 70 joint bars instead, but have
not bought those yet. Maybe if I would switch to proto:64 wheels I won't have
that problem, but that opens up a whole other can of worms...

- Peter.
