The AHR story as I know it:

Yes he is a commercial pilot. He flew a corporate jet for his boss. He is not
a model railroader. His boss was(or had an interest in trains) and he primarily
made things for his boss first, then sold shells and eventually complete
products at the Fall S-Fests.

Like everything else in S, it wasn't a fast turnaround as it was done on a time
available basis. Flying the boss around took priority. It took about a year to
get my RDC1, another year or so to get my RDC3.

His actual enjoyment came from the challenge of seeing what he could make.

He boss passed away, so did his employment and he no longer had the incentive
to make AHR products. I don't know what he's doing now.

There may be some holes in this story, but it's my understanding of it.
