Why not just 1/64th scale. Does that not cover the whole theme of "S". In my 
book it does. We are all 1/64th scale either high rail or what you all call 
scale. 

We can make our accessories look scale by adding wood or styrene sides or even 
build a structure to hide them. sorry I put that in but had to. I am looking at 
doing it.

Roy....Using the Lionel definition of 'scale', a box car with AF wheels and AF 
couplers running on AF track is considered scale.  Is this what you feel 
constitutes a good definition of an S scale layout?  If so, we are on different 
planets.  I will take Mars if you'd like Venus.  Cheers...Ed Loizeaux
