 Building is not doctested at all, unfortunately not even upgrading is
 tested -- at least not on a regular basis (otherwise the ticket upgrading
 NTL would have dealt with what we do here).  `SAGE_UPGRADING` isn't new,
 and the default behaviour of (just issuing) `make` (or `sage-spkg`)
 regularly causes failures.

 Well, if every Sage user|developer (at your choice) in the world gets such
 for free...

 Otherwise we could just update the minimal hardware requirements (for
