What I had been planning to say about the spkg's name is: All the various
pari-2.4.3.svn.p?.spkg on this ticket up to now have been alpha things
which were never intended for anyone other than those working on this
ticket; and we should give the spkg a proper name (to which further patch
levels could be applied later, after this becomes the Sage standard spkg)
once we reached something like a beta level, or even after the authors on
this ticket were all happy with it.
The latest version may or may not be the final one! But it gets better
every time.
[I may have a little time later today but then I'll be travelling. In any
case, it will soon be time to mark the ticket "needs review" and prod
likely suspects to thoroughly test it!]
