 I forgot to mention one piece of information: we would need to
 integrate this in the Sage-Combinat queue, which is used by people of
 varying technical strength. So most of them use the Sage-Combinat
 script which is not clever enough to not unapply those patches that
 haven't changed.

 That probably would work. Or just call it an alpha0 to not change the
 usual workflow. Simon?
