  This is fine. If they are comparing free/open databases with similar feature
  sets, then SAP DB and Firebird (and PostgreSQL) are appropriate choices.

  I will attempt to accurately define what we know will happen with SAP DB and

  I disagree. Integration is tremendously powerful - the ability of someone to
  use a new product via a familiar method greatly increases adoption levels.

  We have no intention of discarding the value of the SAP DB technology (or
  our own technology for that matter) :)
