I spent four years debugging this code. 1375 svn commits, and another year beforehand with only patches. Since you are keen on Git, and i am not keen on learning it, perhaps a *better plan* is to import scidvspc svn to scid svn (which is currently not enabled) and do the doco renames and window docking feature here. This way i will not interupt your VCS. If the bugs in Git get fixed, this will be good for future reference. > I will release a Scid v.4.4 with the current git code and eventually the > fixes for bugs and crashes that will be reported. > I will release a Scid v.4.5 with a new gamelist window > I will release a Scid v.4.6 integrating your engine tournament feature Sorry Fulvio, but AFAICS you do not have file release permissions. It'd be nice to adopt your game history feature; but as a menu somewhere - similar to the file history we already have. Your bestgames widget is interesting, and i am open to including it in some way. > I hope that this will address the most complicated differences between the > two projects and i want to be very clear: > i'm not against you taking the lead of the scid project, but you have to > follow the free software way. Free software philosophy is - Good code talks :) Perhaps Alex will comment again... but if not, please respect his request to me to merge the projects and giving me file release permissions.
