i've waited long enough and i have to give my two cents on this whole
thing. here's what i think:
people have tried to get emo to be popular and it hasn't worked. it's
not because it's not good music, it's because people don't understand
it. it's too intelligent for the average american to understand. has
anyone else noticed that everything that involoves thinking has been
cancelled or unnoticed. people like to watch and listen to stuff that
they can relate to and dream about, if it's not something we all can
relate to or fantasize about we don't like it. it seems like if
something actually requires you to think, people blow it off. emo is
like that, to understand it and to really like it you have to listen
close to notice how great it is. even if we tried harder i don't think
it will ever reach many people.
