make sure lame is correctly installed.

Firmware 40 is the correct version for SB1s. I have 2 SB1s on my
network
with 7.1 (both wireless) and I don't have this issue. It sounds like a
strange problem. If the player is wireless, have you tried switching
to
wired to see if you still have the problem?

My SBC works fine with SSID broadcast turned off. There were some
problems very early on in the
beta test but it has been fine for several months.
I have a similar setup to yours (WRT54GL, Tomato 1.19), but I don't
have any encryption turned on.

As mentioned before, you can't connect a SLIMP3 directly to
Squeezenetwork for serverless operation, but you should be
able to use some of the services on the player through the
music services part of the web interface or the player
menus.

I've had 2 SLIMP3s in constant use since that model was released and I
can't say I notice any screen burn-in. I've had the clock on the lowest
brightness setting. I haven't had a SB2/3 long enough to comment on that
type of VFD.

why the SB3 doesn't recover. Back in the old days I had
a SLIMP3 in a marginal wireless area in my house and on
the occasions that it did skip, it always recovered and
continued playing eventually.

location. The SB1 didn't have any troubles there. Wireless signal
is about 70-80% and there are no APs on the same channel.
I tried a network test at 320 kbps and was able
to get 98%. I'm running the latest 7.0 nightly and firmware.

Just a thought - try running static IP instead of DHCP to see if that
helps. I have had problems in the past with homeplug and DHCP for
certain devices - different models than yours but still worth a try.

You can flash your WRT54GL with third-party firmware, like dd-wrt, and
boost the power and range of the access point. I think on the highest
safe setting, you'd have no problem getting a signal in even a very
large house (unless you have unusual interior features).

will not be able to automatically undo the gain you've applied.
It is still possible to manually undo the gain if you remove
the tags, but you will need to keep a separate record of the
gain applied to each file. This is the old way that mp3gain
used to operate.

If you're going to use mp3gain, which stores undo information
in an ape tag, you are going to want to use id3v2 instead of
id3v1. v6.2.2 ignores id3v1 tags if it finds ape or id3v2 tags.

Tag reading is already complicated enough without adding support
for yet another format - in my opinion.
My mp3 files have both id3v2 and mp3gain ape tags and they work
fine with both fb2000 and slimserver, as long as you have the id3v2
foobar plugin.

Just be sure to check the specs of your 5.8 GHz phone before buying.
Some either transmit or receive on 2.4 GHz which makes them rather
pointless for avoiding 802.11b/g interference.

I don't think there have been any bug reports on the pipelining issue.
You will probably want to raise a new one in bugzilla so the issue
doesn't get lost. I'm seeing the same sort of behavior with Firefox as

There's another option. You can keep using dhcp but use a
fixed address on the server side. If you're using standard
ISC dhcpd you configure it like this:

If you use single-album flac files with external cue sheets, it is
possible to lose 1/100 of a second of audio at the end of a track
because of a rounding issue. Most people shouldn't notice this though
...

I have 2 SLIMP3s connected to WET11 bridges and they always reconnect
without intervention after a server reboot. The firmware is v2.2 and
server version 6.0.1 (although I didn't have any problems with v5
either).
The server is only rebooted about 2-3 times a year however...

No, there is no way to delete tracks from the interface.
You can 'zap' a song by holding down the add button while the song is
playing. This will move the song to a playlist called Zapped Songs that
you can refer to later.
