To my knowledge georeg will not register this. You can however register it
with a program like worldreg which uses the .tfw file. You can find that on
the directionsmag tools site and it is a free version. The only thing you
need to tell it is what projection to use (Since that is not a part of

Did you think about MapXsite or MapXtreme solutions to put your maps on the
web? You could have a program to do the transfer for you and should not lose
graphical quality...

The distortion that your are describing is the result of the grid being in a
projection that uses longitude and latitude as its coordinate units. The
source of the distortion is that in these projection systems the distance in
the X direction is different than it is in the Y direction (l

Peter,
In Vertical Mapper the slope for a grid node is calculated by averaging the
slopes of the eight triangle faces that are formed from the surrounding
nodes. The average is taken so that the resulting slope value is not overly
influenced by "flyers" in the dataset. I hope this helps.

Hello Everyone,
Can you guys help me with saving maps as *jpgs, *.pgn...etc? I am using

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated as I have about 250 maps to

Hi,
I've been using MapInfo for 2 years in earth science applications.
The question that people frequently asked me is that what is the
reason you choose MapInfo GIS system. It's hard for me to explain

So, my question is ,
1. In which type mapinfo maps should be

I have tried JPEG, TIFF and PSD types but then the quality
of the map decreases when the map is printed
