I just managed to create another script which automates the integration of
the existing buildings with the buildings generated from the UrbIS data.
It runs inside the scripting plugin of JOSM.
So now there is 1 script to select all the buildings belonging to 1 street.
Then copy/paste this i

Then we will need a way to detect difference between our data and theirs
and feed back a report about it.

look for discrepancies in the address data which came from UrbIS and we'll
be able to concentrate on adding shops and other amenity information, maybe
where the entrances are and if it's possible to get in with a wheelchair,
who knows.

It seems weird to me to add postal codes to streets. It's a good thing you
found out that this helps nominatim, but now a bug needs to be reported, so
they can change this erratic behaviour in their code. Otherwise we'll all
be mapping for nominatim soon.

The water company and the gas companies do something similar on those
yellow (and blue?) signs which are on people's 'façades'.
Somehow they seem afraid their employees wouldn't be able to locate the
yellow and blue covers of the shutters without them.

In beide gevallen zonder de aanhalingstekens erbij. Al denk ik niet dat die
'kwaad' kunnen. Je heb de aanhalingstekens wel nodig als je bijv. wilt
zoeken op een naam met een spatie erin, zoals "La

I have already been considering something like this as some sort of
business opportunity... It's been done before in Germany. No idea how

In havengebieden is er iets gelijkaardigs.
Of het correct is, weet ik niet, maar ik heb de gebouwen met
addr:housenumber getagd en de percelen met die andere nummers in
addr:housenumber in Haasrode. Dan alles met elkaar verknoopt met site
relations.
