Hi Today for some unknown reason all the emails in a folder on Mac Mail
and its two sub folders have gone missing. I can’t find them anywhere.
I have a reasonably recent back up and I have found what appear to be

What version of macOS and Mail are you using? Catalina had many issues with
Mail from the start. I understand not all have been fixed. Google search show
several “try it” remedies. Not being a Catalina user I don’t know the current
status.

the other using IMAP. As they’re both different “protocols”. So if the POP3 one
is “downloading” or removing from the server,..then it will be affecting the

As a “short term’” fix, you could create a folder in Apple Mail “On My Mac” and
put older emails in to folders there,..rather then in the Inbox.
This saves them all on the computer rather then in the Inbox.

I sent out an e-mail this morning but the message was too big!
Yesterday whilst using the Computer there was a Power outage, the Computer

Thank you Robin, the e-mail has been trashed. The wording wasn’t quite correct
when the e-mail was opened, but I thought that I would ask the question and
pass it on, just in case.
