Re: Dev Studio 7.6.04 Question
Hi Christopher, If you try to delete an object with an overlay, it will delete the overlay and return you to the Out-Of-Box object. There's no benefit to modifying the base OOB object. Besides not having an undo... When you do an upgrade, the base object will be replaced. If you have an overlay, that overlay will stay in place and your customization will remain (assuming there are no changes to the OOB object. If there are, you'll have to test your customization). Most of our current mid-tier pages are embedded in iframes. For guest type pages, they work, no problem. But, pages that require a login, they are popping the login page out of the mid-tier. This is a problem because several of these applications have navigation in the HTML page, not the mid-tier form. We are currently on mid-tier 7.5, where it's working fine, and are trying to upgrade to 7.6.04 SP3, where it's causing issues. We have had this working fine on 6.3, 7.0, and 7.5. We need to finish the upgrade by this weekend, or we will have to wait until next year, so the deadline is tight. Hi Ali, Apologies for the late response, I was on vacation. You have to install the Stylish plugin for Firefox, and add that as a script (essentially Stylish allows you to add to the CSS for a site or page). Don't forget to change the domain to match your server/balancer's name. If you're looking for a system-wide fix, you'd have to edit the Remedy CSS file(s) directly on the mid-tier. Now if an auditor queries for all data modified by 'last update user' = User1, they are going to get everything from both users who shared a login id, different data, different support groups, basically a mess - right?
