Atrium Console Permissions

2015-04-08 Thread Tami Palacky
i have a user who will be creating data models and service catalog entries
in the atrium console. what permissions would this person need? i have
looked at the permissions for CMDB, but there is no mention of atrium
console and permissions. i would prefer not to grant this user
Administrator permissions, but it seems that is the only permission that we
know of that shows the atrium console on the navigation pane.

thank you

i set up and installed on a new server group environment for Windows 2012,
SQL 2012R2 and ARS 8.1.02 and did not have any issues on the installs. i

Yeah I proposed this... Somekind of "genius bar" or something, maybe
panel like, or small breakouts or something...
Could have been setup like a "mini community onsite" using Matt for
 this...

Maybe we could squat the booth location for this when it's not
attended? If it's like wwrug, it's just opened for lunch / not a long
 time,
we could use the place to do some small groups about a theme or something?

So, a mix between the "bird & the feathers", "genius bar", "community"
 and whatever?

We could even stream it live on the net so the others could see it
(that could be a problem with BMC rules though).

Jason,

i dont think so, i do not see any relationships, but thank you.

Sandra,

thank you. i do not have access currently to run logs and review on the
production environment yet, and of course i could not duplicate the error
in the dev environment.

Home Page Error

2012-10-24 Thread Tami Palacky
i created a warning message to display after logging in. on the client
everything is fine. on the mid tier, i recieve and error on the custom
home page entry i created stating it does not exist. i added an entry in
the home page descriptor that points to my custom page and then i have that
set as some users options when logging in. the page was loading fine until
i created the message and workflow and now the server cannot locate it for
some reason.

i have disabled the workflow for the warning message (2 AL's where one
displays the form and a close on the OK button)
i have recreated the entry on the home page descriptor form

i am still getting the error.

any thoughts or suggestions?

thank you

that is correct, attachments are not part of the workflow that
generates the template with SRM requests. the idea is to prevent
attachment files to be in more that one place in the database and the
reason for the link to view the service request at the top of the

Mike,

using an active link to populate the defualts should work. i had to
create workflow to do that even though i had defaults set in in AIF
forms.

Re: Copy to New in Midtier in the Future?

2009-12-23 Thread Tami Palacky
the same functionality we currently have on the client should be
available on the mid tier. if they take away the user tool, users
will be upset that they will not have the same functionality and will
create more work for developers. we should not have to create our own
workflow / work arounds AND, it should not be considered an
enhancement request. it should be a given as the web client should
work as the user tool if users are no longer being given a choice.
lets hope that it will be in place before the user tool becomes
obsolete.

perhaps a Christmas present to us developers? :)

Carin,

It was great to meet you and work with you during the conference. And
you are correct, otherwise we would all still be in Vegas! :)

SRM Question Information

2009-07-09 Thread Tami Palacky
i have been trying to come up with a way to capture the mapped data
that is entered in the service request definition questions selected
in the question details section of the service request. i have
located 2 forms where the information is sent to and stored,
SRM:AppInstanceBridge and the SRD:MultipleQuestionResponse forms.
i have determined that the SRD:MultipleQuestionResponse form contains
the information and is sent to the SRM:AppInstanceBridge form (in a
table field) with which i believe uses the Instance ID field to
identify the records are related to the same request.
there are filters and CAI events that process this data, but i am not
familiar with them and support has been less that helpful, as usual,
referring me to the documentation that i have already read several
times.
if anyone has knowledge of how i can utilize this information, send it
to another form or something, please let me know. with the way SRM is
currently set up, there is no way to report or audit this information.

environment :
ARS & ITSM 7.1 patch 6
SRM 2.2 patch 2

Shawn,

unfortunately you will have to set up a work order for each company if
you want to attach an AOT to it. AOT's cannot be related to a company
of global. we used the copy to new feature to make it easier, but the
template names need to be modified since they have to be unique.

SRM Help

2009-06-08 Thread Tami Palacky
I am trying to create an SRD that has several PDT's attached. All of
the PDT's are executed in the same phase / sequence when the SRD is
selected. Each PDT has a different approver and is not dependant of any
of the other PDT's. I have read the manuals what seems like a bazillion
times and cannot determine how to set this up. AOT approvals? Work Order
approvals? Entitlements?

Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

Thank you !

You can also change the settings on the SRD. You have to take it
offline, then open the Manage Notifications form and deselct options
from there. Other filters you might want to check are :

SRM:REQ:NTRequesterStatusUpdate_ ... (there are several relating to
